May your heart and faith be blessed in the hearing of the Word. May you also grow and mature in the likeness of Jesus by what you hear and put into practice.

The Book of James is like the Book of Proverbs for the New Testament. While small in content  (just 108 verses), it is packed with guidance and direction as to what mature faith looks like and more importantly, acts like in daily life.

James is different from so many of the other letters written by Paul. Paul’s emphasis in other books is on the root of salvationgrace, and how we become a believer through the work of the Spirit.

James' emphasis is on the fruit of salvation - our works, and how we behave as a believer through our daily lives.
