Holy Baptism

Who we are as Christians is rooted in our baptism.  Baptism is a clear, precious statement of God's grace.  It is the act of God, not of man.  In this sacred act, God places His name on people, not because we deserve it or made a decision for it.  He does this because of who He is.  For the Christian, baptism is the exodus (the departure) out of chaos into the order of the forgiven life and control of a loving Father.

". . . Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her
to make her holy, cleansing her by the washing with
water through the Word" (Ephesians 5:25b-26).
