Hurricane Relief Information

Time marches on, but the southern states are still struggling to recover from the devastation of Hurricanes Katrina, Rita and Wilma. We continue to remember the people who are suffering with our prayers, our financial support, and our volunteer service.

Volunteer your Time and Talents:

St. Luke is helping to rebuild homes in the Gulfport-Biloxi, Mississippi area.  Please pray for our workers and all workers helping others to recover and rebuild their lives following this disaster.
The first team of volunteers went to New Orleans in December 2005 with teams following in 2006 and 2007. Read their testimonies. View photos.
We hope to send additional teams of volunteers during February and March of 2009. If you have a heart for helping others, please join us. Call St. Luke Church at 724-352-2227 or email bfett@stlukecabot.org for more information.

"God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear, though the earth give way and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea, though its waters roar and foam and the mountains quake with their surging. There is a river whose streams make glad the city of God, the holy place where the Most High dwells. God is within her, she will not fall; God will help her at break of day." (Psalms 46:1-5)
